Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, I'm Your Cat
I think Vir and Heidi have already figured out that the humans are leaving again this weekend. Vir in particular has more or less attached himself to me during breakfast. (He doesn't try to get at people food since the Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel incident, but he does seem attracted to coffee. I don't think he needs any caffeine.)

Satin is 19 years old and apparently getting a bit senile (hard to tell; she started off from a low intellectual baselne), so she hasn't gotten the news yet.

How long ago was the Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel incident? The Green Chutney incident with Erik stuck for about five years but gradually wore off. (But he's a polite kitty and not aggressive about people-food; it's just clear that he wouldn't object now.)

I think it's been almost a year now. Vir is a smart kitty with a good memory.

Why is it that the ones who need caffeine the least always seem attracted to coffee?

At least Robbie has finally learned, and will inform you solemnly if he sees a cup, that "Coffee is not for Bears. Big people need coffee, to keep up with Bears."

*melt* That's an adorable quote! :-)

Apparently, a more frightening statement than "Vir is bored" is "Vir is bored and caffeinated". :)

Now if we could find something to deter Nova from trying to eat our food....

"The Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel incident"?? BWAH-HA-HA-HA!!! That sounds like a story you will have to tell me sometime...

It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like. One day when my back was turned, he decided to try a taste of my breakfast. He stuck his nose in a bagel with jalapeño cheddar cheese -- and wrinkled up his nose, reared back, and made "go away!" thrusts with his front paws.

He hasn't bothered people food since (but he's still interested in coffee).

Well, I suppose you could let him try the coffee. If he's anywhat like me, he'll spit it out and go *ugh* ;-)
